How to approach a mtb

So recently a mtb I knew since sophomore year has seemed to show interest to me for the first time. I had her in my biology class but never really liked me or ever flirted with me since I liked her ltb friend. But ever since then I distanced myself from her ltb friend and never talked to the ltb since then because she never really liked me and I lowkey got rejected (not directly).

Onto this year, I lowkey got a significant glow and gained some great muscle since I used to be extremely skinny. I had the mtb during two sessions of sat prep and she kept wanting my attention. A friend of mine who never knew her told some blonde wanted to quote unquote “smash” me. I really thought he was trolling but it was pretty obvious it came from her. Today she called me twice to her lunch table with her friends to tell me she got a “1690” as a joke. I lowkey could’ve probably kept the conversation going but I was extremy stressed asf after the sat and the conversation did not last long.

I have prom this Saturday but it is too late to take her on a date since tickets were due three weeks ago. Any tips if I should approach her somehow? I unfortunately lack game when you never dated anyone before. Please help me out I don’t wanna ask her out on the spot and need something to lead that up. Lowkey did not expect a mtb to show interest after I got rejected by a ltb.

I am scared to get friend zoned and dont wanna fuck up either. Here is a comparison of me and her.
