How to avoid purging with tret/triluma?

my indiamart package just arrived and i’m going to start using triluma tn. I’m kinda scared of breaking out cuz I start first year of uni in a week and im not tryna be covered in acne. For context I have used retinol before but it wasnt a very strong dose and my skin tolerated it fine. I’m just wondering if theres any additional precautions I should take to minimize a purge? Also should I put on a moisturizer after or sandwich? Help would be appreciated tyty

It will all depend on you; personally, I have very oily skin, so I never had any purging or side effects from tretinoin until I added hydroquinone; however, my brother, who has very dry skin, started using it every other day but still had to do it less until he was able to tolerate it a good while later, so you could start off every other day for a couple weeks and see if you need to do it less, or if you tolerate it, increase the days
