There is a girl I have liked for about a year and a half, we had one class together where we would consistently talk on daily assignments just to like check answers and shit. I have another class with her this year and sit a few seats from her. I would say im about hmtn and she is mhtb, so a not the largest difference. I just feel like if we could become better friends in class or outside of school then it wouldn't be weird for me to ask her out. Tbh I know the answer is probably just to talk to her often in class but idk

It's not about that, I really could care less about people laughing or whtv for getting rejected. I just don't think I am at a point where she would give me her number, and if I ask now I feel there's less of a chance of getting her number any time
