You can try growing out your hair, won’t really change your hair nature but it will reveal your true nature.

My hair got curlier when I let it grow.

Last time i grew my hair i wasn't taking care about it so it was dry and shitty texture ( 3b-1c), i'm growing it again now but i'll take care about it this time maybe its texture gets better and no dry.
