You family would never say yes or your GF because they care about you and if they where to say yes, that would mean they dont like the way you look currently and think you can look better which is the message they dont want to send across and surgery for cosmetics unless sever is often looked down upon as taboo.

Title. I've done my research, looked into different surgeons, recovery times, costs everything. I've even had a consult with Dr pagnoni, CT scans and even agreed to give me jaw implants and Rhinoplasty everyone around me keeps shooting the idea down.

My parents, friends, even my girlfriend keep telling me there's no need and that I'm fine the way I am and they like me just the way I am and would change nothing. They think I'm being delusional or overly self critical and that I should focus on other things instead of spending thousands of dollars and months recovering. They all keep feeding into my delusions

The thing is I've thought about this for a long time It's not some impulsive decision I genuinely believe it would help me feel better and improve my life. I've been researching this stuff for almost a year. How do I convince them?

Idk tbh, just tell them is also for long term life quality and prevent health issues, that will maybe help.

You are an adult, you can do whatever the fuck you want. If you want to go have surgery you can, provided that you have the resources to do it.

My friends go do drugs, and I tell them they shouldn’t yet they still do it. They don’t stop being my friends though.

Your boss is another story, maybe you get fired maybe you don’t. Talk to them and explain it, what more info do you need from us?

The best way to approach surgeries is not to tell anyone who you're not in regular contact with, and to tell the normies, like your family or colleagues, who might want to chime in, that it was due to breathing problems - everyone will understand that.

It's also probably better to tell people you had "jaw surgery" instead of admitting that you got an implant.
