Hey everyone, just wanted to share my experience with overcoming depression and maintaining a solid baseline of happiness/contentment (if thats even a word jfl).


I didn’t use any of the usual “redpill” Hamza, or Andrew Tate motivation stuff, didn’t meditate, and didn’t bother with the latest coping mechanisms either In fact, I did it while gooning everyday and staying inside (NOFAP & HAMZA CELS BTFO'd). So how did I do it? Simple: I just LOOKSMAXXED, nah srsly but its actually way more straightforward than u might thing and this is also what the research says.


What Actually Helps (Most Important)​

  1. Got Professional Help
    I started seeing a professional for my severe ADHD and ended up getting on Vyvanse. If you’re struggling with your mental health and *even if you’re not sure* just go talk to someone and see. CBT and/or medication can make a biggest difference.
  2. Fix Core Lifestyle
    work on sleep schedule (shoutout to @garoupilled_’s thread seriously one of the best threads on this forum), work on your diet, and incorporate regular exercise, especially high-intensity cardio. for poorcels just do HIIT or sprint for cardio and calisthenics for exercise
  3. Environment or Stress - try to take care of any other issues in your life. I know this isn’t always possible for everyone, but do what you can. If you’re stuck in a bad environment, just hang in there bc thats one of the few times where the phrase "it get better" actually means anything unironcally like I think I read it affects like 25% of your state of mind could be wrong but giga important still.

Other Softmaxxing for Mental Health:
Things like getting lean, going outside, and meditating can help too, but make sure you have the three core steps above in place first. They’re the real foundation.

Consistency is Key:
seriously you have to stick with these habits if you want lasting results. It’s like the mental health version of looksmaxxing you need the basics before you add the extras.

Personal Note​

Honestly, I’m still kinda sloppy asf in my life bc besides not really being on social media much I’m doing everything that those copers claim will DESTORY your mental health but even with that, I’m feeling way better. Imagine how much better it could be if I actually spent more time with friends and did fun stuff I'm a unicel now tho so its wtv

bump this thread isnt even specific to depression tbh, this can increase your quality of life in all ways and your mental state even if you aren't necessarily depressed @KT-34 @LTNUser @Pento @Magnus Ironblood @SubhumanEyes @valentine

why do you want it removed? just because over looks (im assuming) this social media has created something so bad that you are effected by it

not bad but lacks the most important step, I might create a thread on it later when I have enough time. I actually dealt with it (to an extent, now I just have functional depression or whatever you call it) without any meds, because I can't take them. I am mathematician and programmer so I am paranoid about everything that can detract from my cognitive function thats why.

whats the most important step, also you said can't take meds why? personal reasons?

thanks man you are very kind. i would say yes the main reason that causes my sadness is my appearance, even if it is not only due to that. the thing is that now i have reached a point where i could probably hate myself even if i ascended to chad, i hate myself so much that i simply do not want to be myself anymore, both physically and mentally. nothing brings me joy, my days are empty, i spend time hating myself, rotting on .org and tiktok, it is not worth living for me. rope is the only way

the most important step is restoring muh dopamine system (in layman's terms). As for reasons behind not taking meds, the last sentence explains it, maybe my post is not too concise.

yeah these help that though, I have adhd and the most important thing besides meds for dopamine is sleep, exercise (especially cardio) so those will help with that

but thing is like i had something occupying me and keeping me busy, both job and practicing my religion.
I mean the only geniunie advice i have is seek true meaning in life, but from what i see. That might be hard considering
all you do is rot and do nothing, but hey i still believe you can do a full 180 with your life, theres a bunch of crackies who turned their life around, and only thing u do is rot so you have the chance to turn it around. Hey man listen, u should really get off this webiste and delete every social media app and really really focus on yourself, scroll youtube shorts or instagram shorts since they shouldnt be fed with BP/Looksmaxing edits accounts or anything like that, start applying small stuff everyday over time and you will eventually heal man :Comfy:

also one point on this, I don't even mean necessarily therapy but if you have a mental illiness and there's a med for it or something then its 100% worth it to atleast get that, vyvanse changed everything as a ADHDcel and thousands of reviews saying the same so I understand not doing CBT but other than that its worth seeing a phycologist

I don't want to fight against your morals or anything but I am curious on why you feel that way, if something was altering your emotions in a way that helped you function like a regular NT person and made you overall happier , why is that a thing your moral compass is against?

I don't want to fight against your morals or anything but I am curious on why you feel that way, if something was altering your emotions in a way that helped you function like a regular NT person and made you overall happier , why is that a thing your moral compass is against?
its honestly not too deep. i really like the concept of taking all the suffering this life has to offer raw, i dont drink or smoke or do drugs, and i have noone to talk to. when something bad happens i just have to sit there and experience it as it is, this makes me a better and more capable person

I see but for most ND people this just isn't feasible since one problem can affect and ruin someone's entire life experience if its bad enough and since they are ND it isn't really life raw its moreso life handicapped - also you said it "makes me a better and more capable person" but for most people this also isn't true if you look statistics most people just get worse like for example 70% of people who get diagnosed with ADHD will later end of with depession later in life while only 3% of the people diagnosed with depression end up also having ADHD - along with statistic showing higher mortality and things like that so for most people it can make a huge difference - not saying this to fight agaisnt you I just wanted to leave this here for future readers

cope, test is legit though if you're deficient should've put that in the thread - having your hormones in balance is important aswel
 
It makes you look and feel better how is it cope
you'll feel fine if your t levels are normal and test doesn't do anything for looks besides accelerate the time it takes to build a good physique if anything it can mins you if u go abt it wrong but natty training is enough anyway so no point imo
