How to cut own hair

Im not going to the barber they never get it right and dont understand that some people dont want a low taper fade and just want it cut with scissors so for those who do cut thier own hair how do you do it and do you have any tips?

Just use a thinning razor, there are a lot of training videos on the Internet, but the first time you cut your hair longer than you want to see your mistakes

There are some hairdressers who do scissor cuts and usually cheaper than barbers. The first cut you get from them might be slightly off what you expected but next time you go there you can say, "I liked the way you did it last time but I want more length here etc or show a picture."

I didn't go to a barber for years and would cut my own hair. Now that I got a scissors cut, it's much better
