All parts of the plant contain alkaloids, seeds have the most.

What you want is to avoid the bad Datura plants like Stramonium, because it has higher concentrations of atropine, which is toxic, scopolamine is the alkaloid that makes you trip.
Datura Inoxia has low levels of atropine and is the safest, you can recognize it after the smooth leaves, Stramonium has jagged leaves, avoid this plant.

Traditionally an ointment was made from the leaves or powdered seeds - you mix them with some fat, coconut oil, hand or body cream and then smear some of it on you - scopolamine is absorbed through the skin but atropine is not, so even if you would use a bad Datura plant, you minimize this way the risk of poisoning.
