How to fix an overbite ?

I have an overbite coz of which i have to forcibly place my teeth on top of each other and jutt 24/7 to not look recessed , a way to fix an overbite is getting braces done, but i am afraid if braces would actually recess my maxilla. I was thinking about not worrying about my overbite and just get a genioplasty in future but i don't think a genio would be possible without fixing my bite , what do i do ?

braces arent going to recess your maxilla
maybe fuck a bit with development but thats not confirmed

just end up doing genio or bimax
