How to fix an underbite

I’m 14 and have tragic underbite, I have a good ramus and forward grown mandible but my maxilla is recessed. I was thinking about MARPE or just waiting till I’m 18 and getting lefort 1

At 14, surgery is not the first option. A recessed maxilla with an underbite is usually managed now with a protraction facemask to encourage the upper jaw forwards while growth remains. MARPE only widens the maxilla and does not bring it forward, and waiting until 18 commits you to surgery that may be avoidable if treatment is started earlier.
