FWHR is commonly called the “Unfixable Failo.” Although it is very difficult to improve, it is not unfixable as people say. Let’s look at methods to improve it.
Hair
Probably the most well-known method, and it will not actually change your FWHR, but it can greatly affect other people’s perception. If you add volume to the sides, your face will appear wider—simple as that.
Palatal expander
Obviously it will make your face wider, since it expands your maxilla, which is connected to your zygos. However, the changes are subtle; don’t expect anything very obvious. However, be careful, because if done without necessity, it can make your appearance uncanny, and there is also a risk of asymmetry (uncommon).
PS: a palatal expander also increases nasal base width, mouth width, and IPD.

Masseter hypertrophy
Masseter hypertrophy makes your jaw wider and also gives the impression of a higher FWHR. See:

Steroids
Yes, steroids make your face wider, but not due to bone growth, but because of the skeletal muscles in your face. Steroids hypertrophy muscles, which makes your face wider and increases your FWHR. See this study:

Implants
Mandibular + zygomatic implants can instantly “fix” your FWHR (depending on the case).
Orthognathic surgery
All the solutions presented so far were aimed at widening the face. But what if that is not the problem? What if the problem is a long face?
Maxillary impaction – repositions the maxilla upward
Maxillary rotation: if your maxilla is very flat, your midface will look longer from the front. So a rotation makes your midface look shorter.
Rhinoplasty
A downward-pointing nose makes your midface look longer. A rhinoplasty can lift it upward, making it appear shorter.

Lip lift
A lip lift raises your upper lip, shortening your philtrum and improving your FWHR. If your philtrum is already short, it is not recommended, as it may worsen harmony and still not have a significant impact on your FWHR.
WARNING: your bizygomatic distance is included in the measurement of several other ratios, just as your mandibular width and midface height are as well. Messing with them without knowing what you are doing can worsen your face.
Example: you have a low ESR. Zygomatic implants will make your ESR even worse.
