Who do you think looks better between these two?
Of course you'd say the first one, it's because he has outward gonions and his thicker neck frames his lower jaw really well. outward gonions create a wider jaw and give you a more masculine look, a good example of this is Jeremy Meeks, the person in the first photo.
Some people cope by saying "it's just genetics" "a muscle cannot dictate how your jaw looks"
How do you achieve outward gonions?
Well, it's simple. It's caused by a muscle in your
jaw called the masseter muscle;
The masseter muscle is the primary muscle of mastication meaning it's the main muscle for chewing.
To achieve wider masseter muscles you need to chew more, I reccomend mastic or falim gum for 20 minutes everyday or just implement harder foods into your diet but that's inefficient.
• Neck
The neck is one of the most overlooked softmaxxes, ideally you want it to be 90% the size of your lower jaw, it frames your entire face, a thick neck is one of the most important things you can have.
The primary muscles that cause a thick neck are
1• The sternocleidomastoid
2• Spleinus Captis
3• Levator Scapulae
5• Trapezius
You can train these muscles with isometric holds (e.g- resisted forehead press, resisted side press, resisted presses in the back of the head)
Isometric holds are good for stabilizing but do not provide enough hypertrophy
What you really want is neck curls;
Neck curls, side neck curls and back neck curls are great for hypertrophy in the neck.
Do neck training 3x a week and isometric holds 2x a week to prevent atrophy.
Note; a lot of faggots chew gum like crazy thinking it's gonna get them "sharp jawline" even though they're just making their masseters wider and putting stress on their temporomandibular joint. To elevate the hyoid I reccomend chin tucks and mewing, these activate the suprahyoid muscle groups which lifts up tour hyoid
