Unfortunately I'm pretty sure they're in the process of making me redundant now that peak times (summer) is over (They hired a new bar staff and this week they sent me home early on the 2 shifts I worked (Conveniently the new barstaff is 6'5 gymmaxxed MTN ))

But yeah if you have time just spam in person applications while checking local fb groups etc for jobs available. I hate to say it but I'd dedicate a day to it I spent 5 hours straight on going into places and asking repeatedly without a break and got lucky with that one pub.

No thankfully not, I realised on my cv I was committing fraud by putting my 2nd phone number down as a reference to somewhere I 'worked at' before.

Also I don't work behind the bar thankfully just collect and clean glasses then put them away. As for high cortisol though it probably depends on how you handle being under pressure, since it's mainly oldcels there for me personally I'd say there's very little. If you're only working part time though and not in a position where they depend on you even if there is a risk of a cortisol spike it's fine, I'm the youngest there so I don't really have to care what the staff think of me which helps a lot.

You have to be careful of the shifts you do I know older people and they're constantly doing overnight shift and it's evident (skin deterioration, weight gain etc) I'd get one part time doing day shifts but they don't hire part timers if they're still in education I don't think

Getting a job if you don't have alteast a few years of experience is borderline impossible. The UK job market is in the worst state it's been since The Great Depression of modern era aka 2007. Wages have been stagnant and now people with PHD and years of experience are struggling to get jobs. It's over if you are trying to get entry level jobs, you'll just end up working retail. Oh the computer sci guys who graduated recently are completely fucked. There's no fucking jobs for entry level in the current market, none. Everything entry level is outsourced to India/3rd world. And then people try to mock me for being a NEET when i'm getting the same amount as you would working a 40 hours a week warehouse job lol. The UK is in a very bad state, tons of migration from 80 IQ africans, lots of indians/pakistanis abusing the student visa route to "study" aka they're taking jobs from everyone else here. It's an absolute joke. yeah quality of life is absolute dogshit for 99% of people here. Only the wealthy are having a good time, everyone else is fighting for scraps. I can't think of a single good thing about the UK now.
The so called financial market is in the gutter, job market the worst it's ever been, healthcare absolutely garbage with waiting lists averaging 1+ year for most specialist consultants (thanks to tons of immigrants coming here to get their health issues fixed), housing crisis again due to immigrants causing high demand and now rent prices are so high, it's completely unaffordable to rent and getting a mortgage is a fucking scam that traps you for 35-40 years now because wages are so low and house prices are so high. What even is good about this country anymore? i really don't get it. Luckily for me personally i am somewhat comfy not having to be a wagecuck and getting the same amount of money as a minimum wage person doing a warehouse job and my rent is paid. I've talked to so many people who work 40-50 hours a week minimum and they're really struggling, they barely put food on the table, all their money just goes to rent/bills/expenses, left with nothing at the end of the month, repeat every month with no hope for the future. It's so fucking grim. I don't know if you've heard but a lot of "professionals" are moving to Australia, quality of life seems to be better there and they're actually willing to give you a skilled job and pay decently well.
