How to get Carpenter ants out of my room?

How do I get them out of my room. At first I didn't mind cause they are at least eating the rotting food in my room but I keep having nightmares about ants crawling on my naked body.

Woke up to an ant on my eyes and feet. I hate these things they aren't cute at all they are decently big like maybe half a centimeter. Getting bit hurts a decent amount if I step on one barefoot it hurts for 1 minute. I'm scared to sleep in my room because I keep feeling like they are crawling on me. These things are fucking disgusting and scary. I sleep in my car sometimes because I can't sleep at night I just feel them crawling on me even when they aren't.

This is what motivated me to clean my room fuck man its been one month I just hate these awful things. They crawl on my leg a lot

A picture of your house would be useful, the type of layout indicates when it was built and what materials it uses. Also tell me your state for more info on geographical location, can tell which type they are climate etc.

First and foremost you would need to vacuum it anyway

I suggest to take it outside and shake it and all the shit out and the vaccum it
Is it a big carpet? Also might be worth to just throw it out if it's old or particularly fucked up idk
