How to get slightly wavy/curly hair?

I want to wear a slight fringe but looks shitty with the straight hair i have. Sea salt spray is okay, but could be better. Any ideas? The hair should be slightly curly, wavy.

what works for me is that apply onion oil to hair, and then blow ur hair while vigorously scrunching ur hair up and down, apply hairspray and done.

Real oil? Doesn't that make your hair look really greasy?

Too all low IQ cels:
1) sea salt spray just dries your hair, and make the single hairs more connected together, thus it is easier to style and make some wavy texture
2) oils will make your hair greasy af, powders exist
3)there is no way to make your hair curly without perm, yeah you can use curls, but they won’t work on short hair, like ok the hairstyle above and hair will go back after first wash

My hair is naturally very thick and unfortunately straight. However, when I started not using shampoo and never touching it with a comb, it became kinda wavy after a while.
