How to get the effects of minoxidil without fucking up your skin?

I bought minoxidil to grow a beard and also for the eyebrows, now i read that it fucks up your skin, i can't afford to have bad skin.

Is there anyway to use minoxidil without the effects on the skin or any alternative? thanks
