At least with an apprenticeship you get paid whilst you work, then you can transfer afterwards

This is the part of school that I find the easiest...

The toughest things for me have been finding the wherewithal to write 15-20 page papers and look up sources while using citations and formatting it in the proper way..

It’s technically easy as I could just be doing it for like 30 or so minutes a day with another tab open for 2ish weeks...but we all know I’m doing it 8 hours before it’s time for school.

It’s much easier to just memorize material temporarily for 8 hours, then to physically write something that is going to be reviewed that takes TIME. It requires more time, instead of a quick burst of effort that is studying. That’s why it’s harder for me.

I can study something for 12-15 hours straight in a library and then go to an exam and do well, but right after the exam I forget almost everything I’ve learned, since the mechanism of learning was to “X goes in Y place whenever you see it” opposed to actually understanding the material.

Its more conditioning then studying

before you start to study you have to have a perfect desk set up and you actually need to buy a macbook pro (always get the newest one) and an iPad. also make sure to buy a new desk and a herman miller chair that costs at least 1k. it is impossible to sit on a normal chair from ikea. also always clean up your whole apartment before you start.

DO NOT STUDY FIRST THING IN THE MORNING focus on having some fun first, open up youtube and browse a little bit to wake up. ====> when it comes to studying and to life in general you always have to fall in love with it before you start everything has to be perfect before you start

try to watch as many youtube videos on how to study. also once you actually start to study, write a summary of the textbook. ideally the summary is longer than the original book. always keep your phone with you incase a friend needs an instant reply - this also makes it easier to stay in touch with the world so you dont get isolated. always study with the pomodoro technique ==> 20mins of studying and 5 mins break, its perfect if you take a break once you start to feel focused. dont ever go to bed early, try to sleep in everyday.

and the most important thing:

always listen to other people in school / university ==> if someone tells you that this exam is extremely hard and its basically impossible to pass then you should just listen to them and stop studying.

always take cold showers

Cope, make studying 'fun' and more efficient through pharmaceutical intervention. It is not fast. Also I have never studied and always done good in exams (which will only last so long). Once you reach a certain stage there I no way around long hours of work.
