How to handle ascending but never forgetting how you ever felt?

In conclusion, my query is towards people who were treated horribly before enhancing their looks, but treated completely different after ascending.
In my experience, I grew up looking completely different from what I am currently, moreover after getting better experience with women I still severely struggle with confidence and self-acceptance, as If I am still my younger self. I understand that I am decently good looking, but I can not see It.
