How to improve my shitty chin/jaw?

First, what's the issue? Is this a chin problem? A jaw problem? Why does my profile look like complete shit and recessed?

Would jaw surgery fix it? A sliding genioplasty? A chin implant (although the common consensus here is it's a shitty fix)?

I don't have an overbite or an underbite, my teeth line up relatively fine.
