How can I invest money? Do I need to make an account on some bank or what?

This is a serious question. I see people always talking about investing but I never see how people do it.

i mean yea having a bank account would be a great start then an account on some broker site and u can start investing.

that’s where your money sits and where you’ll transfer from
then you need a broker account (this is the important part)
a broker is basically an app/platform that lets you buy investment

I recommend you use Charles Schwab, making the account takes you about a month and obviously you need a bank account to deposit the money you want to invest

Open a Fidelity account or Vanguard account. It doesn't matter which one you pick.

Invest into international index funds/ETF's and the top 500 companies in the U.S. (S&P500) set it and forget it.

If you're young you should just start doing this into a Roth IRA.

Look up Boglehead investing. It's not complicated and it'll get you right in the first step.

I invest into a Roth IRA, my j*b's 401k, precious metals, and BTC. I also keep my savings in a high yield savings account. You should also have an emergency fund of 3 to 6 months worth of expenses first and eliminate debt (granted it's not a mortgage or school loan, but I'm assuming you're young so you probably don't have any of this anyways.)
