How to know if my alveolar ridge is in the wrong position?

I’ve read that elastics move the alveolar ridge into an unnatural position. I need to know wether I need decompensation before bimax or not.

I can’t see that shit in my cbct scan so does that mean I need an X-ray? Please give me all your info on the alveolar ridge pill

It’s basically necessary for braces and elastics to have any effect. I’ve only read it on obscure forums but there is little info on this shit sadly

The lack of transparency about braces and other appliances from orthodontists should be illegal, insane. I doubt that alveolar remodeling like that can be fixed in any way.

Braces for 2-3 years, elastics a few months. I've had 4 extractions but I dont think they would move the alveolar ridge just fuck me up in different ways (thx ortho jew)
