Disclaimer!!! English isn't my first language so pls don't judge me on my grammar
Before yall tear me apart in the comments yes IQ isn't really changeable but you can do things to make yourself seem smarter but i don't wanna yap to much so lets go straight to the steps:
1. Get yourself a good vocabulary. Having a good vocabulary is essential for sounding smart, people are easily impressed from you using big words to articulate yourself. id recommend reading philosophy books cuz they all use big words to sound smart so just read them and search up the words that sound good. Doesn't have to be a philosophy book tho a normal book should work too.
2. Get the good way of speech. Even more important than having a good vocabulary is a good and pleasant way to speak. E.g. Don't rush your words, rushing your words lets you seem hectic and like you don't know what you're talking about. Talk in a normal volume and not like a jitt you're just gonna be perceived childish and dumb.
3. learn "smart" things. what I mean by that is Learn things that people perceive as an High-iq game or thing to know. E.g. learn Chess. Chess is probably the easiest "High-iq" game to Larp , it isn't nearly as hard to learn than people think it is. its all about your strategy and memorization. learn 1 opening for both colors and mid/end game theory and you're much better than the average human. you could also learn random stuff like playing an instrument or solving a rubix cube it lets you seem like you're good at many things because of your intelligence.
4. Appearance. You have to look at least average for the other things to even matter otherwise you're just gonna be perceived as a nerd. So get your hygiene up and exercise a bit it really isn't that hard.
5. Ask many questions. Asking questions in conversations is the most import aspect of sounding smart to your opposite.
Ask "how" "Why do you think that" "Are you always this …..". Asking that kind of questions helps you shifting the spotlight on your opposite and letting them talk about what they wanna talk about. If you don't know the person for a long time and you recognize a character trait that isn't common point it out With " are you always this (character trait)" but ask it nicely and not in a judgy way. that should let the opposite talk about themselves more what is a thing humans really like, talking about themselves.
6. Watch Yt videos on random topics. Watching good Yt videos on random topics gives you a good general knowledge in every niche what you can use very good in casual conversations to impress. don't brag about it tho. Build yourself a good fyp with ytbers like fern, veritasium, frank unseen, trust me bro, and so on. Just watch Yt vids ´when you eat, shower or sleep and i promise you you're gonna use it someday.
