Do a few puzzles a day, play the same opening, and try to understand what your move does (threats, weaknesses, how your opponent is going to respond, etc)

Also try to think what your opponent is trying to achieve with their own move, etc. But yeah, just try to stay cognizant and not autopilot

study basic openings online , learn basic tricks and traps and refutations puzzlemaxxing, for example fried liver attack and the traxler response , , four knights , gucci pannissimo and the ruy lopez , you will basically reach a thousand elo , after you master every basic thing you need to start watching advanced players analyze the logic behind their games , positional or attacking , understanding the square control etc , best channel is daniel naroditsky for this , also never play on your phone its so easy to blunder

start learning basic theory and combinations (discovered check, en passent, double check...)

Do puzzles, learn openings and tactics and then focus on practicing opening mid game and end game, and just play regularly :feelsyay:

Study Artur Yusupov’s books, play classical only, and do some puzzles

I hear Duolingo has chess lessons now, idk if they’re good tho

So basically a lot of the learning comes from reviewing your games to see what you could’ve done better. Also studying and listening to pros talk chess especially the videos where they play against the elo you’re currently in. They explain how the people in your elo think so you can outsmart them.

Wont that be suboptimal tho
Yes for short term progression but in the end you’ll learn time management skills and lots of other ones that will all help in the future
