By no means am I a self-hating Indian but I'm not blind to how we're currently viewed these days. I'd just like to know what I can do, as an Indian, in order to reach my full potential.
Here's a quick list of things I've done so far for the past almost decade now:
- Worked out frequently to the point where I've gotten a decent physique
- Showered and groomed myself, of course not forgetting the deodorant
- Started getting into fragrances and wearing some whenever I can
- Started dressing better
- I understand that some people say that the bad odor attributed to us is due to the food we eat. I'm not really sure if that's true or not but while I like Indian food I usually cook for myself and eat just regular chicken, pasta, etc. that you'd usually consume in the west since I like to track my macros
I've gotten compliments from my friends and coworkers on my appearance, though I don't really put too much stock into that since they're all male. I understand that it's very hard to break preconceptions but I'm genuinely interested to know what else I can do to improve myself.
