How to make friends at the start of college

I've lost all my opportunities @ highschool & everybody already has a tight-knit friend group. How do I make things work better for college?

Start your first year in a "residency" and you are set.
There are also plenty of activities you can sign up for, sports/gym should be your top priority.

dont settle into a group. make aquaintance with everyone first. after the first week or month there will be a big group shuffle when people find their people

first week/s literally go up to as many people as possible just introducing yourself at any event you go to give out your socials instagram/snapchat mogs, and show interest in people tbh and usually thats enough. Get to know people in your dorm, classes, sports, clubs etc... If you then hang out with people and get close to them then you'll get to know their mutual friends and thus your friend group will multiply
