how to make hair wavier

i have short straight hair (1c-2a), is there any way to make them wavier?
no permanent, i dont want to bald

I got the best method

i went to get a loose wavy perm but it will be kinda curly.
wait like 8 hours then wash it out with water
wait 4 more then use shampoo but dont wash it for to long after 3 days my hair is wavy and nice

try finger coiling with a holding gel or scrunching with a t-shirt and applying a leave in conditioner.
