Grow your own food. If you have a plot off land or even some pots, you should use them to grow potatoes or some other food that can be cultivated easily.

Keep chickens, these bastards lay eggs all the time, high protein shit. They just need some seeds to survive, that shit is cheap. It's like 1 dollar per kg. Keep like 12-24 chickens and you'll be having several new eggs a day, maybe you could sell the surplus too.

The reason why you should do this is because buying food is highly expensive, you're spending ten, twenty dollars per meal. It costs a shit ton.

I can feed myself and my family on £100 a/mo. You just have to cook your own food.

yeah, cooking your own food is a very good cost saver. You can further lower it by growing the materials yourself or at least substituting a good portion off your diet with home grown stuff.

Yes. You'd want some bigger pots, like 20-30 cm deep and wide. You'd want a good number off them.

Growing in a city is hard, you may never be able to do this trick tbh.

Tbh, just but basic food stuff and cook from scratch.

It takes quite a lot of land to reliably grow your own food - around 4,000sqm to feed one person for a year.

When my parents didn't send me money, I would literally just fill up a shopping cart with food that would last me for likely 3-5 weeks and then walk out of the store.

Never got caught doing it and I did it like 20 times

Nowadays you can just go to food banks to get food for basically free in the USA, and if you want specific stuff thats expensive like meat you can get them on sale if you buy in large bulk, as for other items they're not really necessary.

I eat like 5-6 items at home

I have probably stolen like 10k worth of food doing it.

Like 500 dollars each time, and one time I stole a barrel of liquor and sold them to college kids and made like 300 bucks

Not to mention it is not worth buying food in 'normal' grocery stores because even usually accepted healthy foods like vegetables and meat have been down-processed or taken a lot of the much-needed nutrients taken out of or in some cases literally have micro-poisons in them. It is better to grow your own food in your own backyard in the natural soil.

Live in an SUV
Eat at Homeless Shelters
Shower at Gyms
Collect food at food banks

Pretty much just reduced your cost of living to $100 a month.

Combine this with working 2 high paying career jobs. 1 has to be remotely on a computer so 1 has to be a programmercel. The other can be a mechanic, truck driver, plumber, welder, or medical worker of some sort.

bro, keeping chickens is cheap, also you can make it an income source.

Whatever revenue you earn from those chickens isn’t going to be worth the trouble of maintaining them or the land and materials you have to buy for them.

Besides with my plan you don’t have to pay rent anymore for your house so that reduced cost mogs the chicken revenue.

The only way your plan would be better is if the house is already paid off, you have all the materials necessary to upkeep chickens, and you have experience in these kind of activities. Otherwise live in an SUV and eat free working two jobs.

This plan just generates a lot of revenue with very high success rate. But it takes time to get the education and then save up and it’s uncomfortable and requires incredible sacrifice.

It would require inside knowledge in certain fields to capitalize on the money you save up, which should be anywhere between 120-200k a year depending on how well you play your cards. With education and networking and research you should be able to make something happen.

120k is the starting income for the job I'm studying for.

Why even work two jobs? You'd destroy your youth, working so much and living so frugally. That's my main problem.

You’d have to invite her first to see the garden. So if those chickens don’t net you an expensive car it’ll be hard to do that.

Fan? Computer? Books?

Nice idea, I might try that when I tour America though.

Unless you own a farm/ranch this is utterly ridiculous. My mom has a couple fruit trees outside, but nothing that could sustain you for any long period of time. We barely have the space to put in any cows, chickens and other animals. Where do you even get that shit? The only way I can think of to deal with this is to make a lot of money, which is why i'm here. Someone correct me on all this shit of course.

Get a good SmartPhone and a service that gets you at least 25 Gigs HotSpot and get a good Laptop. Purchase 1 or 2 large sized portable chargers and charge them in Libraries.

Your only costs are:
Phone service (70-150 a month depending if you loaned out a SmartPhone or bought it, and how high End, along with plan, but for this lifestyle you need a very high end one).
Laptop (30-60 a month or nothing if bought up front)
Car Insurance (80-200) depending on plan
Car Payment (varies)
Gas (30-60 if working remotely solely, up to 200 if need to travel for work)
Food (0-200) Shelters and food banks pay enough but sometimes you might want to eat out.
Muh health care (get the cheapest one you can get).

It doesn't work. They can only detect those metal tags you see on clothes sometimes.

Alright then

Keep like 12-24 chickens
You realise a chicken lays a new egg everyday, wtf you going to do with 2 dozen eggs a day.
This will be you in a week.

But in all seriousness living off the land seems like a very good idea, Ive always wanted to get chickens myself and perhaps pigs, I just dont have the room currently. I was contemplating growing some micro greens tho as they dont take up alot of room and alot of time. I could also grow them inside which would be good as then I could grow them year round all my crops outside are dead from the winter .
I might also grow some mushrooms as I already grow psychedelic ones so Im sure oysters or something would be very similar.

Most of what I eat is unprocessed/very lightly processed so I could probably grow/make almost everything I eat in a day by myself.

Living off the land is nonsense. Even the setup cost to build structures on a “hobby scale” are so high that you will basically never ROI. You can’t compete with industrial farming even with your own land and labour. It’s a boomer pipe dream for those who are incapable of making a proper financial assessment.

Growing certain vegetables and keeping chickens is basically free after a year provided you know what you are doing and have lots of fertile ground. ~5-10 hours week would be enough to grow all the potatoes, carrots etc and all the eggs you would need for a year. Problem is climate and lack of space. Obviously you need to buy everything else meat etc.
