How to minimize your cost of living

Growing certain vegetables and keeping chickens is basically free after a year provided you know what you are doing and have lots of fertile ground. ~5-10 hours week would be enough to grow all the potatoes, carrots etc and all the eggs you would need for a year. Problem is climate and lack of space. Obviously you need to buy everything else meat etc.

I know what I’m doing, I basically grew up with this sort of system and I can say first-hand that it’s absolutely pointless due to the insane amount of labour needed. You will be 10x more time efficient just working a minimum wage job to buy the produce.

Yeah it is probably more time efficient to work but having your own produce isn't really difficult at all for some vegetables and you can avoid pesticides and shit that way

You realise a chicken lays a new egg everyday, wtf you going to do with 2 dozen eggs a day.

But in all seriousness living off the land seems like a very good idea, Ive always wanted to get chickens myself and perhaps pigs, I just dont have the room currently. I was contemplating growing some micro greens tho as they dont take up alot of room and alot of time. I could also grow them inside which would be good as then I could grow them year round all my crops outside are dead from the winter .
I might also grow some mushrooms as I already grow psychedelic ones so Im sure oysters or something would be very similar.

Most of what I eat is unprocessed/very lightly processed so I could probably grow/make almost everything I eat in a day by myself.

2 dozen is nothing.

Yeah, I hate the inflation killing our wealth. Food inflation is usually the highest every year, around 10% on a good year.
