RU58841-
A topical anti-androgen which will massively help hairloss from AAS or regular hairloss. (Arguably better than finasteride, dutasteride and minoxidil)
RU58841 Also known as PSK-3841 or HMR-3841 is a anti-androgen. It was originally developed in the 1980s by the french pharmaceutical company Roussel Uclaf for potential topical treatment of androgen-dependent conditions like pattern hair loss androgenetic alopecia, acne, and excessive hair growth.
How does it work?
RU58841 acts downstream in the androgen signaling pathway.
It has a high affinity for the androgen receptor. It competitively binds to these receptors in target tissues (especially hair follicles on the scalp), occupying the binding sites that DHT (dihydrotestosterone) would normally use.
When DHT binds to androgen receptors in genetically susceptible hair follicles, it triggers a cascade that leads to follicle miniaturisation, shortened anagen growth phase, prolonged telogen (resting) phase, thinner hair shafts, and eventually follicle dormancy or death. By blocking this binding, RU58841 prevents the androgen-mediated signaling that causes these changes.
How to use.
Supplied as a powder and can be mixed into a topical solution. A common preparation method is:
Mix 5g of RU58841 with 70ml of ethanol above 97% purity and 30ml of propylene glycol. This creates a 50mg/ml solution. Shake or stir the mixture thoroughly until the powder is fully dissolved. Before regular use, apply a small amount first to check your skin tolerance. If no irritation occurs, many users apply 1ml per day, which provides a 50mg daily dose.
