Devise a way to convert the name of your city (or another way to identify your location) into a string of numbers/letters. You essentially make a hash function.

Ensure that your formula is such that you can’t work backwards to figure out the location from the hash. This gives other members confidence that they can use your method without doxxing themselves unintentionally.

Post ask .org members to calculate the hashes of their own cities/locations. They can send their hashes to you privately. If a member gets the same hash out of the formula that you got, (s)he’s in your area.

Example:

You live in Amsterdam. You make up a conversion procedure (hash function) to convert “Amsterdam” into a sequence of numbers. If you design the formula well, people can’t figure out the location from the resulting hash. Your formula gives you the resulting hash “478282”. You ask .org members to plug their locations into your formula and to PM you their results. If someone sends you “478282”, it’s time to hang out with a buddy boyo.

The strategy is legit. A method very similar to this is used in computer security to authenticate users with passwords.

I'm an old school. Guys I live in San Sebastián, Spain, if you want to meet here or anywhere above Madrid I'm down for it although you will need to wait some months. I will also go to Mallorca in June 2024, we can go to some festivals and clubs.

Actually a great idea. Do you mind making a script to do this so we don't have to make one?

Yeah I still don't understand it though. I think I would just dox myself later when the time is right. My life is over. What're they gonna do; ruin my reputation?

Case sensitivity is an issue. Specify the location type (city? island? mountain?), the case (uppercase, lowercase, title case, etc.), and whether to include spaces/fullstops/commas.

Most recently I went out with a forum Chad and I was most likely the ugliest guy there. Regardless, it was fun. I spend a lot of time on this forum and it’s fun talking to likeminded people especially when drunk. Thinking about mogging people isn’t something I do in my day to day life so I wasn’t thinking about it when I was there.

This is kind of a mixed bag. Most people browsing here are non nt. They could be complete losers that would just bring your social status down, defeating the purpose of ntmaxxing in the first place. They could also be sociopath freaks with a chip on their shoulder over analyzing everything around them and viewing you as some kind of npc. Syrian Psycho is an example. It would kind of be weird hanging out with that guy cause he probably has some kind of strange ntmaxxing calculation going on in his mind instead of just sitting around and chilling at a bar or club.

Non-NT people are like-minded people to me. Better than hanging out with normies.

Story time?
>Met a guy on the french version of 4chan that lived in my city
>we decided to meet up
>at first he seemed normal but then was constantly telling dirty jokes (like every 15 min)
It was pretty awkward, dude had his brain rotten by porn I’m guessing
>met him a second time and he was getting more comfortable with me
>was starting to randomly slap me jokingly or holding me and picking me up (he was kind of stocky).
>He invited me and another guy to a camping trip but thankfully I didn’t go and cut ties with him cause god knows what would’ve happened

Weird guy. Obviously lacked social skills

Warning: This isn’t totally safe. People can brute-force your city because there aren’t enough cities in the world for brute-forcing to be infeasible. Chances are you live in the world’s most populous ones.

Couldn't you just look at a users post history figure out their country and brute force with different location names until you find one that matches? or even just using sha256 to hash major place names would probably help you find people...
