FREE STEROIDS (NO NEEDLE NEEDED)
Before you spend years working out hard and not seeing much progress you need to understand something important: your brain is able to make its own steroid. It's called HGH (human growth hormone) and it's one of the most important hormones for building muscle and just growing in general. If you can figure out how to get more of this steroid into your blood then you can grow faster and get faster results from your training. No needle, your own body does it for free.
Lots of guys are out here doing long boring cardio for an hour, slow jogs, easy weights, and they are just going through the motions, then they wonder why they barely grow. Meanwhile theres guys doing the smart thing, training short and brutal, and their body is flooding them with growth hormone every single session.
So let me explain how it really works. Once you understand this you will stop wasting your time with workouts that are not helping you. You will see that your body is able to make its HGH and you can use this to your advantage to build muscle and grow faster.
Here is the thing almost nobody knows: when you do something VERY hard physically your body sends a signal to your brain that says "we need to recover and rebuild after this."
When you exercise at near-max intensity and it hits a part of your muscles a lot of lactate floods up and goes to your brain. Your brain sees that lactate. Thinks "ok we're going to need new, bigger, stronger muscle fibers to handle this next time." So it releases a lot of HGH. That HGH goes through your blood to your muscles and speeds up how fast they grow.
That's it. That's how it works. You do something your brain gets the signal and you grow muscle.
Hard signal = Brain panics = FREE STEROID.
The exercises that flood you with the most HGH are short, very intense efforts that use a lot of muscle at once. Over about 70 to 80% of your max, lasting around 30 seconds. The best example is sprints. Just 30 seconds of all-out sprinting can push your HGH up to around 18.5 mg per liter… thats roughly 4.5 times more than a short 6 second lift. Read that again. 30 seconds beats hours of easy work. And it doesnt have to be running. Any intense 30 second effort does something similar. Hard sailing, whatever, as long as you go flat out. The exercise doesnt matter, the intensity does.
Btw the exact HGH numbers move around a lot from one person to the next. So dont treat the exact numbers like an unquestionable truth. But the core thing is 100% real: short hard exercise spikes growth hormone way more than long easy effort.
How to actually do it
- Make sprints your main HGH move. All out, around 30 seconds. Thats the sweet spot. This is the single most beneficial thing you can do for your growth hormone, nothing else even comes close.
- Push the intensity, not the time. Over 70 to 80% of your max effort. Short and brutal beats long and easy every time. 6 seconds is not enough, 30 seconds at near-max is the target. Dont half-ass it.
- Use the two-set thing. Sprint, then rest about 90 seconds doing a light jog or just walking, then go again. Catch your breath then go back again.
- Use big muscle groups all at once. The more of your body you recruit at high intensity, the bigger the lactate signal to your brain, and the bigger the HGH response you get. Small isolated little movements wont do it.
- Swap in something else if you hate running. Hard sailing, or any sport you can go flat out at for 30 seconds, gives you nearly the same effect. "I dont like running" is not an excuse, just pick something and go hard.
- Keep going even when youre advanced. As you get better the HGH boost shrinks, maybe around 40%. But youre still keeping around 60%, so the progress doesnt stop, it just slows down. Dont quit because it slowed, slower is still growing.
