These are some things that I do
1. Bring up my girlfriend to reject/embarrass them. I will use this more often.

2. Make fun of their weight/eating habits and pretend like its a "joke." For example, I may point at their food and say "wow you sure like pizza a lot." or "you guys have a big appetite." Or I may say "no thanks, I don't want to gain too much weight" when they ask if I want food from them.
