I’ve had skin issues in the past when I was younger and was prescribed hydrocortisone 1% and it’s just sat in my bathroom for years then I started seeing threads on org about people using it. so what actually is it for? and what is the benefits of using cortisone.

It’s used to treat inflammation. Some ppl use it to temporarily reduce nose width, since nostrils can appear wider when theres underlying inflammation. Thats probably why u saw it mentioned in a lot of threads.

Corticosteroids are anti inflammatory medications that work by suppressing the immune response. Thats why systemic formulations (oral or injectable) can have significant side effects but topical ones are usually fine.

use it on the bulbous part of ur nose to decrease inflammation and thin the skin. Use it on cycle to mitigate the risk of skin atrophy
