unfortunately hypergamy is needed for evolution. As humans we've tried to negate that since we're conscious and far smarter but it's needed for improvement (and it's biological). In animals females are often left to choose between the best males, we are similar to them.

However, that mostly disregards accounting for women who are sub par making the genetics from the better male worse in offspring. There really isn't a win win for humanity unless we only let optimal people from both genders reproduce, which would never happen. It's over either way you look at it, and it's all pointless in the grand scheme of things.
