I am a hypocrite

We whine and bitch about hypergamy, as this unjust social construct.
But we are too naive to think we aren’t unconsciously perpetuating it ourselves.

It’s an obvious thought that you’d be immune to being hypergamous because you know about it.

The human mind is however terrible at rational thought. I catch myself so many times treating people badly and positively purely based on their looks.
Ugly lady: slight unconscious negative attitude towards her, even while i’m aware of this blatant differential treatment, i don’t change it.

Why?

I don’t know.

It must be human nature. I also catch myself revering good looking people, almost sucking up to them in my mannerisms.

i do try my best to abstain from lookism but yes it is difficult without making a conscious effort

Its human nature you will never find an unnatractive person attractive. They will always come off as annoying and repulsive

hypergammy and lookism are two different things but are similar in a way

obviously everyone will find a better looking person as smarter, kinder, more confident etc etc

everyone will desire to be with someone very beautiful but where the difference is

women which are hypergamous think a mhtn is in their league even tho she looks objectively worse

a guy if he wanted a mhtb he would compensate in ways to satisfy this women, aka money, personality, status, height etc
