I have found the expander itself and metal bands to fasten the expander to my teeth, I just need some CIG to seal the teethmolds

braces require custom molds and regular check ups, a palate expander seems pretty straightforward and not many components are needed

i will save 5-7k from diying it, anything to ascend

A palate expander isnt just metal + turns or anything like that,
the risk isn’t “will it expand”, it’s how, where, and at what rate. Uncontrolled force vectors = asymmetric expansion, alveolar bone loss, gum recession, root resorption, bite collapse(and its just from the top of my head) And in most cases you cant see or feel shit until its irreversible
Orthodntists are jews and ofc you are overpaying, but mostly they charge for monitoring tissue response and stopping when things go wrong. So basically its ultraworse analogue of russian roulette and "safe" way to do this shit is still go to them and check it, lol
