How much mm will you expand in total? ppl are coping with saying that the lower jaw adapts to the expansion of the upper jaw, but it doesnt. The only thing that happens is that the teeth oft the lower jaw adapt, but the mandibular bone it self doesnt get wider so you have a limit in upper expansion or else you will get teeth aligning problems

Im not a believer in that I dont think so. Obviously depends on the bone age and state of the sutures but orthodontists told me that it the lower jaw is unable to expand.

Why would it expand? No correlation imo.

I also cant think of another similar example?

Imagine you having an unsymmetrical face, the other side of your face also doesnt expand to give u a symmetrical face
