U know the mandible follows ur maxillaHow much mm will you expand in total? ppl are coping with saying that the lower jaw adapts to the expansion of the upper jaw, but it doesnt. The only thing that happens is that the teeth oft the lower jaw adapt, but the mandibular bone it self doesnt get wider so you have a limit in upper expansion or else you will get teeth aligning problems
Im not a believer in that I dont think so. Obviously depends on the bone age and state of the sutures but orthodontists told me that it the lower jaw is unable to expand.U know the mandible follows ur maxilla
When ur maxilla is pulled forward with headgear then ur mandible also follows up so whx wouldnt it expand with itIm not a believer in that I dont think so. Obviously depends on the bone age and state of the sutures but orthodontists told me that it the lower jaw is unable to expand.
Why would it expand? No correlation imo.
I also cant think of another similar example?
Imagine you having an unsymmetrical face, the other side of your face also doesnt expand to give u a symmetrical face
Make a pic showing your palate to see the width
Send me a study or smth by a professional to thatWhen ur maxilla is pulled forward with headgear then ur mandible also follows up so whx wouldnt it expand with it
shit bro how much mm of intermolar width??
Send me a study or smth by a professional to that
You proved my point bro? They are saying that the teeth from the lower jaw are adjusting yet the bone of the mandible itself isnt?Spontaneous Mandibular Dentoalveolar Changes after Rapid Maxillary Expansion (RME), Slow Maxillary Expansion (SME), and Leaf Expander—A Systematic Review - PMC
