Not really man. These days because of complex CPU architecture designs it's hard to tell. Some have weak core, strong cores, efficiency cores all that shit. Their naming schemes also suck balls. You just have to do your research it's not like good old days when performance was based on the how big the number was. Like i5,i7 Ryzen 5, 7 etc

I too remember that time when the bigger the number the better the electronic equipment

CoD, R6, Borderlands, GD, and Doom. Only time I get frame drops or crashes is when testing out extreme settings, I usually just choose the balanced settings and my VRAM usage is more than ideal.

Yeah, my buddy has it. I was actually pretty surprised at how much smaller this one was compared to Borderlands 3. Still managed to deliver a pretty visually pleasing game though.

It would sounds like marketing buzzwords when they are not. This on best buy they have labels like "good for gaming" or "good for multitasking" etc

Doesn't really have anything to do with IQ, just not that important for normies. They want something which performs tasks quickly and conveniently. A good price tag, UI, and marketing is all they need to know.

Would a high IQ person not spend an hour to understand the $1000 product they’re potentially going to buy? Perhaps I’m conflating IQ and agency, although you need a high baseline IQ to understand these types of products regardless.

Yeah I’m not debating the niche knowledge issue. You can’t expect people to know things they don’t care about. However IQ is certainly correlated with agency, and that trait is what will push someone to make good decisions like understanding things you buy. Yet from observing ppl around me, it seems extremely rare for any avg or low iq ppl to display this trait, which leads me to believe they don’t have the knowledge to make good purchasing decisions.

I would buy something refurbished or older for a steal deal instead of new but you can't go wrong either way. Just buy something with m series and enough storage and you should be good
