I cant cope with uni loneliness anymore

It is mostly my fault, but I have made no new real friends, I sometimes talk to the couple people I know from highschool that arent even in the same course as me, but thats about it

I have tried the advice of joining some societies, but I find it so hard to talk to new people when Im not under the influence

Its physically impossible to talk to people in lectures, and I just wander around when I have breaks in between them anyways, my mental health has gotten so much worse and I cant take going without social interaction anymore

How the fuck do people do this?

brutal, my advice would be approach at random and look presentable, only reason i approached was because this girl was late and so was i, idk what u look like so that might make it more akward, but if u are at least average u could talk to someone easily if u find yourself in a similiar situation as them

Most of my struggles come from being a manlet for most of my teenage life, so i wasnt taken seriously by most other people

So now im a paranoiacel that never knows when somebody is genuine with me or not in a conversation

Yeah it will never change unfortunately, Especially difficult because I'm assuming you're a commuter as you didn't mention flatmates. "Best years of your life" they say.

Im glad im commuting to be honest, if i wasnt i wouldve been in the same flat as my friend

Hes not the issue, but i hung out with him and his flatmates during freshers, and his flatmates SUCKED

Although the commute is fucking awful, i plan on making a rage thread about it
