i don't get texting/messaging

what are you even supposed to talk about?! how are there people that have their phone constantly blowing up? i never talk to people unless i need something from them so i am baffled at how some conversations flow hours on end through texting. it's quite tempting to assume that there are magic words/phrases that keep a conversation going but in reality it all comes down to looks, right? at least in dating that is completely true. could it be the same for friendships? my limited life knowledge has showed me that groups of 3-5 always hover around a certain rating. niche groups are the only outliers. i don't know what said groups talk about as i have never been part of one, but it surely must be something fun! why else would you keep in touch if you aren't having fun? what i've noticed is that people aren't fun. at least the ones i've met. i never felt the need to know them better, they never intrigued me. what makes a person interesting? even on this forum there are certain users that emanate a strong aura with their posts and others are forgettable just like the NPCs of this world. and it's not due to their avi, the words they type are captivating. i wish i wasn't stunted in this direction. i envy those that can express their thoughts clearly. texting is in fact just that, expressing your thoughts concerning a person. so it's obvious that i can't text to save my life. stunted growth in all aspects of my life, goddammit!.

let's say you only talk about work. how do you wanna go from "can you send me the pdf" to"lets do this (go out) together". put in jokes. put some personal shit in it so she can ask . give her stuff she can dig into. if she cares she will. if not well bad luck. its becomes tricky when she us nice to ppl overall.
