They have been brainwashed by society. But at some point they will be 40 and hold someone’s baby and they will panic when the chemicals in their brain do their thing. Then they will desperately try to defeat biology, then they will grieve. Maybe they even had a child at some point but they aborted the child because society told them it was brave and her right to choose for herself only. But at least she has a career now and surely making money (something a husband could do anyways) will bring her true happiness
