Does anyone else get that feeling of "yeah not today buddy" whenever your talking to a salesman who is good at their job.
I like people who are passionate about something and love hearing them talk about their specific thing, but l can immediately tell when they're trying to sale me something, its like they aren't passionate about "insert thing" rather they're passionate about SELLING whatever it is to me, especially when they cater to my needs and the budget I have set in mind, literally no one is going to go that far for you without a hidden motive
I went to a used devices shop to check out iPads today, I want one to use as a second monitor to my MacBook, the guy practically popped up from beneath the counter, his tone and wording was fucking amazing, I wish I had meta glasses on to share his... personality with you, anyways, he started monologuing and asking me questions like if I was in a telltale game, "FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS APPLE HAS RELEASED TOP OF LINE TECH, SPANNING FROM IPHONES TO IPADS" "oh really, well iam just here for a used iPad iam not looking to pay mo" "IPAD IS WHAT YOU SEEK? IPAD YOU SHALL GET" and then this mf turns around, almost even twirls around and gets me 5 different iPads old and new, at that point I had already made up my mind on not buying anything from him, because if I did I didnt guarantee not waking up at 3 am with him at my window humming a lullaby.
He kept on pressuring me more and more, and I just stopped him and told him straight up "I will not buy anything you try to sell me, iam here to take a look and make my decision later, I dont want to spend too much money on somthing I dont even know ill be using" "OH THATS YOUR PROBLEM, WAIT RIGHT HERE" mf goes in the back and shouts for somebody, a minute later comes out with a gen 8 iPad with no home button in sight, he starts monologuing again about how for the last 5 years apple has devolped its software to the point of not needing a home button anymore, he ends it with "HERE TAKE it, YOUR PRACTICALLY LOSING MONEY NOT BUYING IT, COME ON" "sorry dude iam not buying anything today, have good rest of your day" I swear to god when I turned around to leave I saw him in my peripheral vision stretching his hand outwards and mouthing nooooooooo.
TL;DR: don't overdo your job, just answer my questions and be a normal functioning human being, you are not in a musical for gods sake
