2. However this would mean that 6 psl is only 7.5

Nobody abides by percentile ratings for PSL, it's a mess.

It's basically an unwritten code.

5 PSL is usually the best looking you'll see daily, nobody rates it as 80th percentile jfl, someone who's actually 80th percentile would be rated quite low, 4-4.5 max.
6 PSL is model-tier (1 in several thousands is probably accurate for a decent area).
7 and above is gigachad tier
