After 7 years on PSL, I've finally undergone surgery
I got SARPE done to fix my narrow palate
Currently have a gap between my front teeth
My nostrils are taking in more air than they used to
I will start turning the screw in a couple of days to begin the full expansion

Do you expect any psl gains?

Why didnt you try MSE first? MSE expandeds the cheekbones, something that sarpe doesnt do.

I have SARPE before my bimax coming up in April. If you could let me know how the recovery is and aesthetic changes you have would appreciate it brother :y'all:

how difficult is it to fix the gap? and how much time does it take

My original plan was lefort with the surgery first method but the surgeon got the 3D version of my dental arches and said that it was not possible and I would need expansion first
I was offered a date for SARPE that was just a month away so I decided to just get it done rather than spending 6 months consulting to try find someone I could do MSE with
I may be getting cheekbone implants anyway with my next surgery since my cheekbones are flat from a recessed maxilla
Could I have done with some additional cheekbone width? Yes probably but I didn't decide to prioritize it since the widest part of my mandible is actually narrow by comparison to my cheekbones

I'll let you know in a week of the aesthetic changes once I've finished expansion
At the moment my maxilla is swollen and in pain but I am able to cope with it without painkillers
Maybe if the pain doesn't die down in the next couple of days I will start taking painkillers

Same. I was trying to get lefort alone to fix my underbite/recession but they said I needed expansion. I'm going to be going with MSE to hopefully widen my cheekbones simultaneously.

Nice, do you know how much mm of expansion you'll be getting?
