She worked at a McDonald's kind of closed to where I lived so I went there one day and I saw her, I noticed her name badge so I got her name. Then I went to Instagram and looked up accounts of people she hung out with (we went to the same high school), I'd go to the people they followed then I typed her name on the search bar.

My god I was so obsessed with her

She's had that body since she was 16, there were minors who were having sex with that beauty

PM, you mean. Yes, I will check after doing some chores, mkay?
"DM stands for direct message. PM stands for private message. Both are nearly interchangeable and in few cases differ in meaning."

Sounds same to me

DMs are used in social media. PMs are used on forums.

When people refer to social media, they mean places like Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc. I get where you’re coming from, but forums aren’t meant for social networking in the traditional sense. We don’t upload pictures of what we do, add our families and friends here, etc. That’s why it can’t be classified as a social media in that sense. Socializing is definitely that can be done, but on forums it’s usually meant to be private (as in, you won’t reveal much information about yourself beyond what’s necessary, in this case, location).

I know that people don't consider forums as social media, but I was referring to the definition of social media, regardless of what people think social media is

For example I think a lot of people consider reddit a social media, even though it's a forum

But still when you start a conversation with someone here it's both direct and private message, so DM and PM, that is unless you include more users in which case I don't what the fuck it is

I always chuckle when people think Reddit is a social media. I just see it as a website. I guess forum comes close to it, but then again it’s too expanded to be considered that, if you get what I mean?

Right, you’re talking about chats (these could be considered “DMs,” since it’s like instant messaging, the same way you do on Instagram, etc). I personally prefer PMing over chatting/DMing here. It’s easier and you can write more. Chats have a limited amount of characters you can use. PMs can be quite endless (5000 characters limit; I believe).

I always wondered the difference between chat and conversation here

Is the character limit the only difference?

Mainly the character limit, I think. Also, one is instant, the other one isn’t.

Can you see deleted messages, or have they removed those permissions from you and pretended they don't exist?

Which one is it?

I still prefer conversation, chat feels weird, even though I need to refresh conversation to see new messages
