i recently got otoplasty, and i thought i would share my experience a bit, i am still going through the healing progress and otoplasty is imo one of the safest surgeries. and its a surgery you can get at almost any age ( i personally got mine just now so at the age of 16)

During the surgery i was not under full anesteshia i was under local anesthesia so i was fully awake but just didn't have any feelings in my ears, tbh it was quite alright i was given a calming pill and then they operating on my ears for about 2-3 hours while i was awake and conversating with them.

After the surgery i was still numb in my ears for about 4 hours, however after the pain slowly crept in, it wasnt really super bad just like a slight burning sensation, on day 2 it started to itch a bit and still hurt a bit, and it has been the same since, however now i dont really have much pain in my ears but, my turban/bandage is leaking a yellowish liquid (they put anti-infection pads that are yellow behind my ears).

Let me know if you have any questions about otoplasty and the surgery experience and healing experience and ill try my best to answer:)
