Makes me really worried about the elder scrolls 6

If u consider with each game after Daggerfall it became less of an RPG and more of an action game

Daggerfall was a real hardcore brutal rpg to the point it was inconvenient, map was literally a whole continent the size of real life England it felt like a real world with so many cities u couldn’t possibly explore all

Morrowind was a bit more main stream but I’d argue that’s peak tbh since the hardcore mechanics of Daggerfall were unforgiving

Oblivion is when they started to go a little action adventure but still a fun rpg

Fallout 3 was kinda like oblivion with guns but ever so slightly less roleplay choices

Skyrim was just a complete mess barely an rpg. If RPGs were drugs Skyrim would be weed almost a drug but not really a real drug

Then fallout 4 became straight up an action game, it’s not an rpg u can’t actually roleplay when ur character has a voice and a set backstory u have to be a parent no matter what

Jfl if this pattern continues TES 6 will be god of war, an action game with very slight rpg mechanics

I used to prefer these games but after i played oblivion something feels so good about making ur own character and chosing how u wanna act in a fantasy sandbox

No wrong answer no preset script u have to follow

Just do whatever u want in a world much better than our own where most NPCs except random bandits are unique and if they die they don’t come back so ur choices matter

I also like fallout 3 and new vegas

New vegas mogs hard but Bethesda didn’t make it so it don’t count

i played oblivion and it just felt way more different, more vibrant, etc

skyrim is so dark and gloomy its annoying

and i hate bethesda for fucking over obsidian entertainment and giving us shitty fallout games

the only good fallouts are fallout 1 2 3 and fnv, the rest are literally dog shit

bethesda fell off so hard with starfield too

im not even excited for elder scrolls 6 or fallout 5 tbh

Oblivion is truly unique to me everything even the ugly playdoh looking npcs with their broken dialogue is essential

That’s why this alleged remake of oblivion worries me also half the magic of that game comes from the world

That early 2000s vibe is something we won’t get back

Npcs in oblivion are another level there’s endless memes to be made

Imagine coming out with a teaser for a game almost 7 years ago for there to be no info about it still. Only to make a shit game (among multiple others) that nobody plays anymore 5 years after that teaser.
