It actually hurts my brain to heavily overthink

Its all so stimulating, it affects my ability to do things because everything just feels like a fog as a result of my mind

I try to reduce this feeling by punching my desk or kicking the wall, but that isn’t enough. I want to scream and for it to stop

So it's basically your mind racing and you can't focus? How much does Ritalin help with that?

That, or ill be on autopilot doing a task and im too zoned out to realise ive fucked up somehow and ive gotta do it all over again

Ritalin helps a lot. My mind feels far more peaceful and not like my head is going to explode from the constant chaotic thinking and stress

Can actually complete a simple task instead of it being some mental challenge jfl

I used to struggle with zoning out and not being able to do simple things back in high school. Even reading felt hard. It's like i could read the words, but my mind couldn't understand what was going on. But i'm fairly sure it was mostly because i was retarded and surviving on 4 hours of sleep for three years straight, not adhd :feelstastyman::feelstastyman:

One thing that always stuck with me, however, was my really poor working memory. I'm extremely bad at retaining short term information. I remember having to play some bullshit mini games in high school where you had to memorize a sequence of names and colors and i kept forgetting them. Truly embarrassing

Although it's much better now, it's still not ideal. It doesn't really bother me tho. My long term memory is really good, and i rarely run into situations where it becomes a problem. Either i gave myself brain damage from years of severe sleep deprivation, or i might actually have a mild form of adhd :feelsthink: dunno

Anyway, you got this brah :Chadge: You probably just need to find the right meds and dosage

I have bad short term memory. l forget the same thing a couple times over in the span of a couple minutes (e.g. forgetting i just checked the time on my phone)

And i will be there trying my hardest to retrace my steps to remember what i was going to do or the information i just learnt.

Ill even think of specific things in the room i am in or the previous task i was just doing in order to remember whatever said information was, or whatever the task i was going to do is

However my long term memory is elite, i can remember the most random specific things from months - years ago, and many people have commented on it
