Massive fag rant incoming: This is just sadly true for any website with any kind of reward system. Just look at Reddit and how much of shithole it is because of the karma thing. At least on org there’s a general culture among users where everyone is retarded and just says whatever. But coming back to Reddit, because of karma system people get incentives to only post the most braindead and mass-agreeable takes to get as much social validation as possible. I guess that’s just how social pressure works in general so what can you really do about it?
