I hate when people say being Nd is a super power

Being Nd is a spectrum and it’s really a dice roll with how your life turns out. Like two people on the spectrum can have completely different life out comes. For example I was in this and it had two people polar opposites of the spectrum. One guy was a genius who has a pretty decent social life. Everyone at my school would glaze him for how smart he was and was universally loved by all the teachers. All reason I could sort of tell he was on the spectrum was that he would always talk monotone and sometimes wouldn’t understand sarcasm. The other guy was a different story. He has no social awareness to the point where even other autistic people found him annoying. He just wouldnt get social Qi’s and would always say outta pocket jokes that were just weird and annoying. I honestly felt bad for him.

Nd can be a superpower, as well as a curse, usally the people you hear from are the ones who got the good end of the spectrum cause the ones who got the short end of the stick usally dont get their voice heard, I got pretty lucky, im only slightly ND, so i struggle socially but am able to pick up on basic social Qs, and have kind of trained myself to not say anything too crazy, and have gotten really good at getting out of trouble. ND is a super broad term so someone with full autism who can barely speak can be classified as ND.

Im really high inhib majority of the time with people I am not comfortable around, so ive gotten away with seeming nt, but around close friends it becomes obvious im nd cause i will tell a really stupid out of pocket joke or somthing like that. there are definitly people who get it really bad and end up being ostracized as they arent quite sped enough to be sperated from everyone but, they still cant make real friends. there are a few kids at my school like this and its geniunely sad
